Klaus Zimmermann's Shortwave Audion Radio

Hi Dave ,
first, you have a really great home page.
I found your page when I was searching for some schematics a long time ago. Then I found some 1T4 tubes in a mail order company for only 0,50 euro each. So I bought 20 pieces because I will use them sometime later. I used your page and a half day later the short wave "Audion"(german for a regenerative receiver) was finished. I used a old cigar box for the housing and parts which were laying around.
Best regards

Nice radios and photos Klaus. I can clearly see every connection. Take a look at the set that Klaus built on the Röhrenbude Site.
Klaus Zimmermann's Shortwave Audion Radio

Hello Dave ,
I hope you are well. There are news from Germany. Last year already I built your
two tube audion but had no time to wire it.
So this week it was to hot to get out so i had time to finish
the audion and look it ran at first attempt.
Also the anode battery ,I bought years ago at
the HAM Radio in Friedrichshafen (only reprint of the paper box) I finished.
There are ten 9 V and two big 6 Volt batteries in series and five voltage regulators
for different voltage in the box.
To close the box I use a strong magnet so you can't
see its a fake , looks like a original. Also i had time to visit the HAM Radio in
Friedrichshafen to buy new old radio stuff for my next projects.
Best regards
Klaus
Hi Klaus,
Another very nice looking radio, Klaus. Thank you for sending me the pictures so I could show the rest of the world.
Dave
