Tommy's "Schmarderclone" Crystal Radio

Tommy Coleman from North Carolina built this beautiful radio based on my #67 radio. He built it in a beautiful cigar box with careful attention to making the set blend nicely with the details of the box.

The chassis and other parts including the coil form are made with HDPE material. The output can drive a high impedance load such as a headphone matching transformer or fed directly into an audio amplifier.

The diode is mounted on a small piece of epoxy circuit board and can be easily changed by loosening up two thumb nuts.
